USER AGREEMENT

Terms of Use

In order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, we have established the following rules of use (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules") in accordance with Article 10 of Accommodation Policy. We ask for your cooperation in complying with these Rules and Regulations.
Failure to abide by these Rules will result in the hotel's refusal to allow guests to use the hotel's facilities (all facilities, including guest rooms, restaurant, lobby, and grounds, etc.) from that time onward, even after a contract of stay has been concluded or while the guest is still using the hotel. Please note that the hotel will not be able to provide refunds or compensation for any damages resulting from failure to comply with the terms and conditions of this agreement. Please be aware that you may be asked to compensate for any damage resulting from your failure to comply with these rules.

1. Scope of Application

These rules and regulations apply to all guests staying at the hotel and all visitors using the hotel's facilities. In the event that Accommodation Policyor any other terms and conditions or regulations governing the use of the hotel's facilities contain provisions that differ from these rules, such provisions shall take precedence over these rules.
Our Hotel shall reserve the right to change or revise these Rules without prior notice.

2. Safety and Security

  1. Please be sure to check the evacuation route map from your room and the emergency exits on each floor, which are available in each room, on our website, in our pamphlets, on notices in various places, and in the service directory in your room.
  2. During your stay, please make sure to bring your room key (or card key and card key case if you have a card key) with you when you leave your room and confirm that the door is locked (if your room has an automatic lock, please confirm that the door is locked automatically).
  3. Please lock your door during your stay, especially when you go to bed. If your room has a door hook or door scope, please use the door hook or door scope when you are sleeping or when you receive a visitor. If you notice anything suspicious, please contact the front desk immediately.
  4. We do not permit guests other than registered guests to stay in the hotel or to meet with visitors in the guest rooms.
  5. Visitors are not permitted to enter the hotel after the time specified by the hotel (please check the hotel's website, brochures provided, notices in various locations, the service directory in your room, or the front desk), even outside of the guest rooms.
  6. The use of the guestrooms and lobbies for business purposes is prohibited.
  7. The sale of goods and services, and the distribution of advertising and promotional materials in the hotel's facilities without the permission of the hotel are prohibited.
  8. Photographs and videos taken at the hotel's facilities may not be used for business purposes without permission.
  9. Smoking is not permitted except in designated smoking areas. Please check with the hotel information or the front desk for the availability and location of designated smoking areas. If any damage is found to be caused to the hotel due to smoking in areas other than the designated smoking areas, the guest will be required to compensate the hotel for the damage. If smoking is found in a guest room, a room cleaning fee will be charged to restore the room to a non-smoking condition. If there is any loss of sales due to the room cleaning period, the guest will be required to compensate for the loss.
  10. The use of fire, fireworks, incense, incense sticks, candles, etc., for heating, cooking, or any other purpose that may cause a fire is prohibited in the guest rooms without the permission of the hotel.
  11. The following items may not be brought in or used
    (a)    Fire hazards such as gunpowder or gasoline, or other dangerous products.
    (b)    Objects with a very strong or foul odor.
    (c)    Guns or swords/knives, etc. or drugs such as narcotics, which are forbidden by law.
    (d)    An extremely large amount of baggage or other items.
    (e)    Items that are considered a threat to the safety of other guests.
    (f)     Any other items prohibited by laws and ordinances.
  12. Drones may not be flown or photographed on the Museum's premises unless permitted by the Museum.
  13. No animals or other living creatures are allowed to be brought into the museum, except with the museum's permission. Please contact the museum in advance if you wish to bring animals or other living creatures into the museum. However, guide dogs for the physically challenged (guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs) are allowed without prior notice as stipulated in the Assistance Dogs for the Physically Challenged Act.
  14. When using the hotel's facilities or Facilities, please refrain from using the designated areas for purposes other than those for which they were originally intended.
  15. No personal belongings may be left unattended in the hallways or lobbies.
  16. Any damage, contamination, or loss of buildings, fixtures, or other items, whether intentional or unintentional, may result in a charge of a reasonable amount.
  17. No one is allowed to enter the facility except for guests, including employee areas, backyards, emergency stairs, rooftops, towers, machine rooms, etc.
  18. If the windows of the hotel's facilities are designed to be opened only in the event of an emergency, guests are not permitted to break the lock covers, open the windows, or enter the balconies.
  19. If a guest is a patient with a specified infectious disease, etc., as defined by the Ryokan Business Law, use of the hotel's facilities may be denied.
  20. Any act that disturbs public morals or security, such as gambling, loud singing, or boisterous behavior, hanging objects in windows, displaying objects by windows, or any other act that damages the appearance of the hotel, extremely filthy body or clothes, or any other act that may cause inconvenience or disgust to other guests, false pretenses (including spreading rumors, deception, seduction, etc.) or force (including abusive language, violence, etc.) (including false rumor spreading, swindling, seducing, etc.) or using force (including abusive language, violent acts, etc.) to obstruct the business.
  21. (2) Customers who engage in acts that fall under the category of customer harassment (i.e., complaints or behavior from customers that are socially unacceptable in terms of the means or manner to achieve the demand in light of the validity of the content of the demand, and that harm the working environment of workers due to the means or manner of the demand) In order to protect employees, etc., we will take resolute action against such customers, and if necessary, we may take strict measures, including the following measures.
    A. The hotel will take the following measures. Refusal to allow the guest to stay at the hotel or use other facilities or services of the hotel
    b. To refuse to allow the guest to stay in the hotel or to use other facilities or services of the hotel. Recording or recording conversations with guests as necessary, and storing and using such recordings at a later date.
    C. To cooperate with outside specialists such as the police and lawyers. Taking legal action in cooperation with the police, lawyers, and other outside professionals
  22. The hotel does not permit outside food and beverage orders, home delivery, massages, or other services not provided by the hotel.
  23. Unless otherwise permitted by the hotel, guests are not permitted to wear yukata, pajamas, underwear, slippers, etc. in hallways, lobbies, restaurants, or anywhere outside of guest rooms.
  24. Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay at the hotel without the consent of a parent or guardian. Please present a written permission from a parent or guardian at the front desk upon check-in.
  25. If you notice a suspicious-looking person, please notify the front desk.
  26. Please refrain from any other activities that the hotel deems inappropriate.

3. Handling of Valuables and Deposited Items

  1. In the event that a guest's baggage or personal belongings are left at the hotel, the hotel will retain them for a period of three months from the date of discovery (hereinafter referred to as the "retention period"). After the storage period has elapsed, the hotel will dispose of the property as if the guest had waived his/her right to the property left behind. However, the Museum will dispose of (1) items that were in a trash can or other items generally considered to be waste, (2) items that are detrimental to the sanitary environment, (3) items that are in danger of being lost or damaged such as consumables, food and drink, or (4) items that require excessive costs or labor to store and are unlikely to be sold for a price that exceeds the cost of selling them. The items will be disposed of on the day following the day of discovery. In addition, clothing (excluding brand-name items and other items deemed expensive (as described in Section 3) and items that are detrimental to sanitary conditions (as described in the proviso of this section)) that is not expected to be sold at a price that exceeds the cost of sale will be disposed of two weeks after the date of discovery.
  2. If a guest contacts us during the storage period, we will ask for his/her instructions. However, we may not be able to comply with the guest's instructions, and if we store the property in accordance with the instructions, etc., we may ask the guest to bear the costs incurred for such storage, etc.
  3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs, the following leftovers and dangerous objects will be reported to the nearest police station as lost property promptly after being stored for 7 days including the day of discovery (for dangerous objects, after discovery).
    (1) Cash
    (2) Precious metals and other valuable items
    (3) Items that are at risk of misuse by a third party, such as keys, driver's license, and my number card
    (4) Items whose possession is prohibited by law
    (5) Documents, drawings, or electromagnetic records that prove an individual's identity or status or personal rights (e.g., health insurance card, savings account book, credit card, cash card, commuter pass, etc.)
    (6) Documents, drawings or electromagnetic records in which matters belonging to personal secrets are recorded (e.g. notebook, diary, household account book, memorandum, personal computer in which personal records are stored, electromagnetic recording media, etc.)
    (7) Documents, drawings or electromagnetic records in which the address or contact information of a customer or an individual recognized as a related party is recorded (e.g., cell phones, address books, electronic organizers, alumni association lists, etc.)
    (8) Personal information databases, etc. (meaning personal information databases, etc. prescribed in Article 16, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information) (9) Documents, drawings, or electromagnetic records (excluding documents, drawings, and electromagnetic records that are widely distributed to the public) in which personal information (including personal information that is not in the public domain) is recorded. (e.g., customer lists, etc.)
    (9) Pets and other animals and plants
  4. At facilities with coin lockers, please use the coin lockers at your own risk. For other precautions regarding the use of coin-operated lockers, please refer to the notices on the coin-operated lockers, the hotel's website, pamphlets provided with the lockers, the service directory in the guest room, or at the front desk. This section also applies to items left in coin lockers.
  5. In addition to the provisions of this section, Article 15 (Handling of Deposited Items, etc.) and Article 16 (Storage of Luggage or Personal Items of Guests) of Accommodation Policyshall apply to guests staying overnight.
  6. In the event that the hotel incurs any damage or costs for storing, disposing of, or moving any of the guest's baggage or personal belongings left behind after check-out, or in connection therewith, the hotel may demand compensation for such damage or payment of such costs from the guest. In such cases, the guest shall bear such costs.

4. Payment

  1. In addition to the following provisions, Article 3 (Conclusion of Accommodation Contract, etc.), Article 9 (Time of Use of Rooms) and Article 12 (Payment of Charges) of Accommodation Policyshall apply to guests staying at the hotel.
  2. Payment shall be made in currency or by other alternative means acceptable by our Hotel such as traveler’s check, accommodation coupon, credit card, etc., at the front desk or a place designated by our Hotel at a time requested by our Hotel.
  3. Please note that we do not accept currency exchange.
  4. We do not accept any replacement payment for your shopping, air, train, or bus tickets, cab fare, or luggage shipping charges.
  5. When you sign your name to use our Hotel’s restaurant, lounge, etc., make sure to show your room key (or card key and its case).
  6. Please note that a facility usage fee will be added when using the telephone in the guest room.
  7. As a general rule, our rates include a service charge.
  8. We do not accept tips or gratuities for our employees.

5. Prohibition on Facility Use by Antisocial Forces, etc.

The following groups or individuals will not be permitted to use the Museum. In addition, if any of the following groups or individuals are found to be using the hotel after a reservation has been made or even during their stay, they will not be permitted to use the hotel at any time thereafter.

  1. Boryokudan (organized crime groups) as defined in Article 2, Item 2 of the "Law Concerning Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Groups" (Law No. 77, 1991) ("Boryokudan"), Boryokudan members as defined in Article 2, Item 6 of the same law ("Boryokudanin"), quasi-organized crime group members, persons related to organized crime groups, and other anti-social forces.
  2. A corporation or any other entity whose business activities are controlled by an Organized Crime Group or an Organized Crime Group Member.
  3. A corporation of which any officer is a person who corresponds to an Organized Crime Group Member.
  4. A person who is recognized to have committed violence or extortion, inflicted an injury, made a threat or coercive unreasonable demand, or performed any other similar action.

6. Use of Free Wi-Fi in Hotel

  1. Please use free Wi-Fi at your own risk. Please note that the service may be unavailable due to maintenance or other reasons.
  2. The hotel will not compensate for any damage (virus infection, loss of information, or any other damage) caused by the use or unavailability of the service, and will not be liable for any damage except those caused by reasons attributable to the hotel.
  3. Please check with the front desk for information on the range of communication capabilities. Please note that the communication speed may decrease or the connection may not be established depending on the environment of your communication terminal or the congestion of the line.
  4. Please note that the hotel cannot provide any support regarding your computer, communication terminal environment, or various settings.
